De Zeekoe is a beautiful Guest House farm in Oudtshoorn, South Africa. They offer a variety of luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation cottages. Come and relax in our beautiful surroundings in the Garden Route’s Klein Karoo.
De Zeekoe Guest Farm is situated 10 km outside the town of Oudtshoorn on the Garden Route, surrounded by the Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains. The farm’s location offers access to a variety of attractions such as ostrich farms, Route 62, the Cango Caves, waterfalls and museums.
Accommodation is offered in 21 guest rooms, 3 stone cottages and 1 Manor House that is perfect for families. Each room is equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities, air-conditioning in some rooms, a fan, bathrobes, a bar fridge, a hairdryer, a safe, and free Wi-Fi access.
The guest farm offers a swimming pool, ideal for those hot summer days, as well as bicycles to rent, a curio shop, and a spa that offers massages, facials and more. The on-site restaurant, De Windpomp Restaurant, offers simply delicious and deliciously simple meals using local ingredients, fresh farm produce and free-range meat. A bar is available to guests.
Some activities available on the farm include fishing with their own equipment, hiking, birding with over 162 species, canoeing, self-guided walks, star gazing, and biking. Tours can be arranged to walk with wild meerkats and to be part of the Shy 5 experience. Please note that the starting point for these tours is roughly 16 km from the main house and requires self-driving. Please note there is a drought in the area so the lakes are dry.
Set in a tranquil and peaceful environment with views of the Outeniqua Mountains, Soetdoring Selfsorg is a rustic getaway offering self-catering accommodation only 7 km outside the town of Oudtshoorn.
Soetdoring Selfsorg offers the ideal breakaway for couples, family and friends of all ages and offers guests a choice of stone cottages and lovely, wooden cabins. The units are air-conditioned for comfort and furnished with comfortable double beds or single beds. Each unit also has a private bathroom with a shower, a toilet, and a basin.
Each of the units has a kitchenette that is equipped with a microwave, a bar fridge, coffee- and tea-making facilities, as well as crockery and cutlery, and guests can relax in front of a cosy fireplace in the winter months. A daily cleaning service is available on request at an additional cost.
The units open onto lovely patios with outdoor seating, and braai facilities with views of the surrounds. The stone cottages share the use of a swimming pool, and secure parking is provided on the premises for all the units.
Oudtshoorn offers a variety of activities such as walking and hiking trails, mountain biking and 4×4 trails. Guests can also visit various attractions such as the Cango Caves, the Ostrich Farm, the CP Nel or the CJ Langenhoven Museum.
7km outside Oudtshoorn, in the Garden Route’s Klein Karoo, surrounded by the famous Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains, is one of the world’s 17 “hot spots” with 3 overlapping flower zones.
