This month’s features: … If participation is your thing, read on, there is enough to keep you on a happy, healthy high for quite some time.
“Honey Interrupted”! We did some serious research to be able to inform health-minded people on how to know which Honey to buy! Natural should be natural – but it became complicated. We try to simplify it before you lose interest and buy junk. 80% of Honey in our shops are imported from China, all goodness killed by irradiation and/or fake syrups posing as honey. Please read more and find some fun and easy tests to make sure that you paid for what you were lead to believe you were buying. Award-winning and real Honey in South Africa versus Fake Honey. How to buy Honey 101
South African Born Stars
I am of the very opinionated opinion that Iron Man inspiration, Elon Musk and top Hollywood composer Trevor Jones are currently two of our South African Born Heroes and both are greatly influencing the world on a grand scale! #SouthAfricanSwag : )
Woman of the month ~ Nadia Voster Covergirl; The Beautiful Beekeeper
Nadia: “Beekeeping is in my family – my father is a beekeeper in the Northern Cape and my husband Danie and I are both beekeepers. I didn’t set out to become a beekeeper but growing up around bees I couldn’t help but develop a passion for all things bee-related as these amazing creatures give the world so much!”

New at Creation Wines; Olive Oil
The Creation team recently introduced their first olive oil. The 2019 Creation Extra Virgin Olive Oil was grown in two Hemel-en-Aarde groves planted in 2007 on the Mount Babylon and Vrede farms and covering 1.5 hectares in total. Selected for their suitability to the terroir, the cultivars include four Italian varieties – Coratina, Leccino, Frantoio and Favolosa – as well as a Sicilian cultivar, Nocellare del Belice.
If you ever wanted to stay in the Hemel & Aarde Valley, this is where you want to be. Trust Creation Wines to serve a new experience on yet another new level.
The beautiful sleek design of Die Voormanshuis is the brainchild of architect Andrew Finlayson. Even though the building is super modern, it seems to sit butterfly-light in its beautiful surrounds. Set among the vineyards …more about Die Voormanhuis at Creation Wines
Forest bathing, as a calming and healing practice, became known in Japan in the 1980s. The obvious feel-good factors all apply but now we understand more about the physiological benefits, apart from the eye-pleasing scenery, gentle hiking exercise and extra oxygen. Phytoncide is a substance emitted by plants & trees and generally means the aroma of the forest. “Phyton” means “plant” in Latin, and “cide” means to exterminate. Phytoncides are produced to help plants & trees protect themselves from harmful insects and germs, but researchers now offer proof of their enormous health benefits to human life. Read more about forest bathing and your health and happiness.
