I herewith nominate Wildekrans for the Best Farming Practice Award at this year’s Nedbank Green Wine Awards. Wildekrans, with the enormous input from Braam Gericke and his passion for sustainable farming, has been a pioneer in this area. Farming practices at Wildekrans inspire all to adhere to more responsible approaches and farming methods, to focus on preservation and to be community minded.
It is always a pleasure to drive, walk or cycle onto Wildekrans and to be struck every time by the immaculate grounds and the happy friendly faces of the locals being employed there. I am of the opinion that Wildekrans makes a huge difference in our area and takes its responsibility of job creation and in-job training of the best farming practices very seriously. It is a commendable investment in the future of the farm, the area and all involved.

By partaking in London’s most beautiful half, you’ll be supporting the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town – Africa’s first specialist pediatric hospital.
Since 2012, runners have contributed to ensuring that 250 000 children treated at the Hospital every year have access to world-class healthcare. From South Africa and beyond, most are from impoverished communities and one-third are younger than one year old.
