November/December 2020 South Africa

Hello Beautiful People!

This year has been a strange reminder of what truly matters in life. It has made most of us all a little more grateful for things we took for granted before. It has reminded us of the loveliness of hugging, direct ‘maskless’ smiles, moving and talking lips, direct conversations and physical contact and relating. Connections make us stronger. In the yearning for this, we realised that we really are all in this together.

So, this Christmas as we gather, around braais, swimming pools or fireplaces where it is winter or computer screens, dressed in jolly sweaters or festive face masks, remember… Everyone deserves a little extra this year.

Be the one who spreads extra happiness. Be the one who shares extra gratitude. Be the one who wraps every gift with extra joy, and stuff every mailbox with extra happy. Let’s Give Extra

We are not even talking about Covid or Lockdown. We all know the drill. Even for the healthy ones, the fears and uncertainties cause way more harm than the virus. Stress causes all sorts of illnesses and ill at eases. We rather reinvent 2020 and ourselves on our own terms. Full steam ahead with a new life where fake news and government shenanigans do not even touch our state of mind anymore!

Let’s be inspired by some great things to do to embrace life, grow and stay positive, focused and healthy-minded.

We researched a list of things to do for the passionate improvement of our mindset, health and income.

Magnanimous equanimity is the new order of the day, we have a great new appreciation for so many things and are witnessing so many inspiring Random Acts Of Kindness toward ourselves and others.

As always, we celebrate some of the excellence of the innovative and resourceful endeavours of South Africans who set a positive tone for our beloved rainbow nation. We rock on!

Always Something New From Creation Wines

Great Wine Capitals Award recognises Creation Innovation

Creation had the honour of receiving the Great Wine Capitals (GWC) Best of Wine Tourism Award for Innovative Wine Tourism. The estate has become synonymous with innovation and they are delighted to have won this prestigious accolade.

To Carolyn the 2021 award is all about how they pivoted over the past months. Their team went to extraordinary lengths to mitigate the challenges imposed on wineries during the Covid-19 lockdown and the ban on the sale of alcohol. This happened on many levels: from sourcing materials and upskilling the team to the development of new products and delivery systems. She sees the award as recognition for their resilience and courage during a time of great uncertainty and would like to thank the judges for noticing. Sometimes innovation is born out of adversity; this year was nothing short of a miracle with suppliers, agents, friends and clients rallying around to create our inspired new reality. Thank you all for being part of the Creation Nation! Please click here to read our media release and here to view the presentation of the trophy.

New book release November 2020

Barbara Townsend is an author from Botrivier, South Africa and a natural storyteller.

Ida’s Line is a novel set in South Africa between 1930 and 1948, during a period of growing fascism and racial hatred for all people not regarded as European.

Ida Joubert openly rejects these racist views and challenges the prevailing patriarchal attitudes towards women. As a result, she is in constant conflict with her white, middle-class family, especially her father. When Ida plucks up the courage to introduce Reuben May, a mixed-race teacher who wants to marry her, tensions rise. The story continues to explore the conflict of Ida’s love for Reuben and her family. …read more
